The Grandstream GXW4216 16-Port FXS VoIP Gateway is designed to provide reliable connectivity between traditional analog telephone systems and modern IP-based communication networks. It features 16 FXS ports, making it suitable for business, office, corporate, and professional telephony environments requiring multiple analog voice connections.
The GXW4216 includes a 10/100/1000Mbps auto-sensing RJ45 network interface and supports a wide range of network protocols, including TCP/UDP, RTP/RTCP, HTTP/HTTPS, ARP, ICMP, DNS, DHCP, NTP, TFTP, Telnet, PPPoE, STUN, and LLDP.
For business communication, the gateway supports 3-way voice conferencing, caller ID, call waiting, call forwarding, call transfer, Do Not Disturb, last call return, paging, auto dial, and message waiting indication. It also supports automated provisioning through TR-069 and XML configuration files and can be used with Grandstream’s UCM series IP PBXs for Zero Configuration provisioning.
Telephony Features
The GXW4216 supports Caller ID display or blocking, call waiting, blind or attended call transfer, call forwarding, Do Not Disturb, 3-way conference, last call return, paging, auto dial, message waiting indicator LED support, and stutter tone.
Voice, Fax & Codec Support
The gateway supports G.711, G.723.1, G.76 (40/32/24/16), G.729 A/B, and iLBC voice compression. It also supports T.38-compliant Group 3 Fax Relay up to 14.4kbps with automatic switching to G.711 for Fax Pass-through.
For T.38 fax relay, the listed fax data pumps include V.17, V.21, V.27ter, and V.29.
Network & Connectivity
The GXW4216 features a 10/100/1000Mbps auto-sensing RJ45 network interface and supports SIP (RFC 3261) over UDP/TCP/TLS, flexible DTMF transmission through in-audio, RFC2833, and/or SIP INFO, as well as multiple network protocols.
It supports 4 distinct SIP server profiles per system with an independent SIP account per telephone port.
Security & Provisioning
Security features include SRTP, TLS/SIPS, and HTTPS, with AES-128 encryption for SRTP, TLS, and HTTPS.
