The Grandstream GXW4248 48-Port FXS VoIP Gateway is designed to connect a large number of traditional analog telephone devices to IP-based communication networks. With 48 FXS ports, it provides a scalable voice connectivity solution for business, corporate, office, and institutional telephony environments.
The GXW4248 features a 10/100/1000Mbps auto-sensing RJ45 network interface and supports SIP signaling over UDP, TCP, and TLS. It provides multiple telephony and management features, including caller ID, call blocking, call transfer, 3-way voice conferencing, failover SIP server support, and automated provisioning.
The gateway can be installed on a desktop or in a rack using its front brackets, making it suitable for structured IT and communication environments.
Telephony Features
The GXW4248 supports Caller ID display or blocking, call forwarding, call transfer, Do Not Disturb, and 3-way voice conferencing. It also supports a range of caller ID formats and automatic redial functionality.
The gateway provides 4 distinct SIP server profiles per system with independent SIP accounts per telephone port.
Network & Signaling
The GXW4248 features a 10/100/1000Mbps auto-sensing RJ45 network port and supports SIP (RFC 3261) over UDP/TCP/TLS.
DTMF transmission methods include in-audio, RFC2833, and/or SIP INFO. Network and QoS features include DiffServ, ToS, and 802.1P/Q VLAN tagging.
